James Jay Linke, age 58 of Louisville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home in Louisville on March 20, 2026. He was born on November 22, 1967, in Ord, Nebraska to Robert and Gwendolyn (Wilson) Linke.

James, affectionately known as Jim, grew up in Ord, where he graduated from Ord High School in 1986. He went on to attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney and then later University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education.

On August 9, 1997, Jim married his beloved wife, Pamela, and together they built a wonderful life in Louisville, Nebraska, raising their two cherished children, McKenzie and Connor. Jim dedicated many years of service as a Sales Representative for Spectrum Paint, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.An avid sports fan, Jim not only enjoyed watching various sports, but also shared his passion by coaching basketball and baseball teams over the years. He cherished family time spent camping and created lasting memories with those he loved most.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Linke of Louisville, NE; his daughter, McKenzie Linke of Omaha, ; and his son, Connor Linke. He is also survived by his brothers, Greg Linke of Clemson, SC, Dan Linke of Ashland, NE, and Mike Linke of Scotia, NE. 

Jim was preceded in death by: his mother, Gwendolyn Linke

Jim's service and celebration of life is scheduled for May 27, 2026 at 10:30 am at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha, NE. Lunch will be provided following the service.
