James "Jim" L. Wooster, 88 of Syracuse, was born on January 4, 1936, to Guy & Anna (Cook) Wooster in Mapleton, IA. He passed away at his home on August 19, 2024, in Syracuse. Jim married Jackie Twichell on August 29, 1964, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury, IA.

Jim's favorite pastime in life was fishing. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking. Later in life he became a caregiver for Jackie.

He is survived by his wife Jackie; children Jeff (Randy Greathouse) Wooster, Jennifer Wooster; brother Bob (Carol) Wooster; also numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bill Wooster & John Wooster.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 22nd at 11 a.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mapleton, IA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21st from 7-8 p.m. with family greeting friends at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
