James F. Miller, 95 of Lincoln, formerly of Elmwood, passed away on December 14, 2022, at the Tabitha Journey House in Lincoln. He was born on December 13, 1927, to Frederick & Lena (Heldt) Miller in Yutan. After graduating high school, he joined the Army and served for two years, including one year in Korea.
On December 5, 1954, Jim married Marilyn A. Schmidt in Murdock. Jim drove the tank wagon for the Co-Op for many years. He also owned his own heating and air conditioning business. Jim sang for 22 years with the Lincoln Continentals as well as singing for many weddings and funerals. After retirement he and Marilyn traveled the country for 7 years in a RV. He also enjoyed woodworking in retirement.
He is survived by his children Kendall (Pam) Miller of Gretna, Renee (Jay) Jensen of Unadilla, Brian (Kim) Miller of Lincoln, Loren (Kristy) Miller of Elmwood; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; also nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Nathan Miller, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
No services are planned.
