James Willie Sallee, age 89 of Louisville, NE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday,
May 7th, 2025, at the age of 89, at the Millard Good Samaritan Center.  He was born on
Monday, June 17th, 1935, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Willie and Lula Sallee.

James graduated from Chafee High School in 1953 and immediately began his military
service in the United States Air Force. His time in the Air Force shaped him into a man of
determination and resilience, values that he carried throughout his life. While stationed in
Florida, he met Lois Omega Evans, and they were married on July 28, 1955, celebrating
nearly 70 years of commitment and love.  After his military service, James pursued a
career as an aircraft engineer at General Electric, where he worked until his retirement.

Throughout his life, James's faith was his guiding light. He was actively involved with
the Assemblies of God MAPS - RV Mission Ministry, where he devoted his time and
energy to serving others. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing
and outdoor adventures. Known for his amazing spirit, boundless energy, and remarkable
problem-solving skills, James had a gift for fixing anything. Above all, his greatest joy
came from serving God, his family, and his church community.

Family was a center of James's world. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Lois Sallee
of Louisville, NE, daughters: Sonya (Phil) Yelton of Del Rio, TN; Sharon (Lyndon)
Karns of Grandview, MO; and Darla (Ronald) Silverman of Louisville, NE. He was the
grandfather of six grandchildren: Marci (Richard) Lewellen, Evan (Becky) Karns,
Samuel Chase, Isaac (Emily) Karns, Jacob Chase, and Ryan Silverman, and a proud
great-grandfather to 13 great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his brother, Harold
(Mary) Sallee of Michigan, his sister-in-law, Linda Sallee of California, and nieces and
nephews.

James was preceded in death by his father, Willie Sallee, his mother, Lula Sallee, and his
brother, Joe Sallee.

A Celebration of Life for James will be July 19, 2025, 11:00AM, at Full Life Assembly of God Church, Hurley, MS.
