Janet L. Kreifels, 79 of Syracuse, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln on January 8, 2017. She was born on September 28, 1937 in Nebraska City.

Janet married Milton Kreifels on September 10, 1956 at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse. She worked at the Syracuse Elementary school as an aid and helped especially in the cafeteria and at recess. She loved to golf and was active in church and also a member of the Altar Society.

She is survived by her Husband: Milton Kreifels of Syracuse; Children: Rick Kreifels of Syracuse, Deb (Randy) Landwehr of Syracuse, Doug (Sheila) Kreifels of Cary, NC, Brad Kreifels and friend Julie of Downers Grove, IL, Pat (Darlene) Kreifels of Lincoln; 12 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Sister: Janice Meadows of Syracuse, also many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Mother: Evelyn Hespen; Brothers: John & Robert; Sisters: Ann, Jean, Valetta, Joan, Evelyn, Eileen and Jackie.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 13 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12 from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M at the funeral home, then at church with family greeting friends from 6:00 until time of Rosary at 7 P.M.

Memorials are suggested to the Family's Choice.
