Jean Marie Frye was born on November 6, 1938 in Rural Unadilla, Nebraska to Alfred and Frances (Durman) Halbasch. She passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Creighton University Medical Center at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 22 days.

A life long resident of the Syracuse and Unadilla areas, she graduated from Syracuse Public Schools in 1956 and attended Preu State College for two summers. She taught rural school south of Syracuse, worked as a Doctor's Assistant at the Syracuse Medical Center and was also employed at Bankers Life of Nebraska, SDA Public Schools and was the bookkeeper for Frye Construction.

She was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse and a Red Hatter.

She is survived by her Husband: Frederick Frye of Holland, NE; Sons: Greg Frye and wife Polly of Eagle, NE; Kurt Frye and wife Carla of Panama, NE; Grandchildren: Casey, Mitchell, Wesley, Nicole & Nathan Frye. Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Larry & Deana Halbasch of Denver, CO; Don & Cathy Halbasch of Syracuse, NE; Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Sterling & Peggy Brechtel of Cedaridge, CO; Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Dorothy Sammons & Irene Zimmerman of Syracuse, NE; Mary & Randall Gartner, Susie & Glen Wyatt of Unadilla, NE. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She wass preceded in Death by her Parents, Parent-in-laws: Fred & Susie Frye, Brother-in-law: Willard Zimmerman

Funeral Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. John Finster officiation.

Visitation to Sign the Register Book will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Inurnment will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse, NE.

Memorial are suggested in Lieu of flowers to St. John's United Church of Christ, Syracuse, NE.
