Jeanine Marie Cooley, age 80 of Louisville, Nebraska,  passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15th, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born on Friday, September 1st, 1944, in Louisville to Joe and Lela (Stovall) Habel.

A proud graduate of Louisville High School, class of 1962.  She was united in marriage to Max Cooley on October 16, 1965 at the Methodist Church in Louisville.  Jeanine dedicated over 30 years of her life to safely transporting the children of Louisville as a school bus driver for Louisville Public Schools. Her commitment to her work and the children she served.

Jeanine was an active member of the Royal Neighbors of America and enjoyed a rich life filled with reading, bingo, and travel. Her favorite pastime, however, was spending precious moments with her family, cooking  family dinners, and delighting in the company of her grandchildren. Trips to Scooters with loved ones were a special treat she cherished.

Jeanine is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Max Cooley, children, Lisa (Phil) Beardshear, Linda (Scott) Owen, and Max (Candice) Cooley, all of Louisville, NE, her grandchildren: Miranda Sheehan, Joseph Sheehan, Tanner (Laura) Owen, Madison Owen, Cadance Stenger, and Kyle (Amanda) Clark. She leaves behind her sisters, JoAnne Bradshaw of Norwood, MO, and Janice Roloff of Louisville, NE, as well as her brother, Jeff Habel of Omaha, NE. Jeanine is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jeanine was preceded in death by her parents,  Joe and Lela (Stovall) Habel. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Judith Finch, and brother-in-law, Lorenze Roloff.

A graveside service will be held at Glendale Cemetery in Louisville, NE, on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, at 11:00 am followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Louisville Senior Civic Center from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
