Jerry Stalder was born October 24, 1942 in Humboldt, Nebraska, to Earl & Thelma (Powell) Stalder. He passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 in Lincoln, Nebraska, at Bryan LGH Hospital, at the age of 70 years, and 1 month.

Jerry married Sharon Rist on September 23, 1966, in Humboldt, Nebraska, and to this union they raised 3 children Brent, Jodi, and Tammi. He worked for Omaha Public Power District for 36 ½ years, and retired as Sub-Station Department Foreman. He enjoyed being with family and friends along with hunting, fishing, gardening, and reading. He was a member of the Syracuse United Methodist Church.

Jerry is survived by his wife Sharon, of Syracuse, NE, son Brent Stalder, of Plattsmouth, NE, daughters Jodi Stalder & Tammi Stalder, of Syracuse, NE, and brother Bill & Zelda Stalder, of Shannon City, Iowa. Mother-in-law Marjorie Cline, of Humboldt, brothers-in-law Ron (Sherryn) Rist, of Humboldt, NE, John (Loretta) Rist, of Humboldt, NE and Richard (Mary) Rist, of Madison, WI, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Earl & Thelma Stalder, and his sister Patty Kohler.

A Celebration of Life for Jerry will be Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Syracuse Senior Center, 303 Railroad Street, Syracuse, NE from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
