Jo Carole Myers was born in Tecumseh Nebraska to Don and Donita (Whitlock) McCoy on October 22, 1947. She died on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska at the age 72 years, and 9 months.

Jo graduated from the Omaha College of Nursing. She was a loving mom to three sons – Greg, Perry and Jeremy. As a Nurse, she had several unique situations. One time while getting on an elevator with her medical equipment, she was stopped by Secret Service that were escorting President Barak Obama, but the President said to let her on as she does not look dangerous. At times, doing Medical Evaluations took her inside the State Penitentiaries. Jo had the pleasure of caring for her mother and grandchildren all under the same roof.  She loved to watch the Huskers on TV and especially enjoyed traveling with her mother to see "Her Huskers" play.

Jo is survived by her special friend Larry Bludorn of LaVista NE, sons Perry Myers of Omaha, NE, and Jeremy Myers of Lincoln, NE, 4 grandchildren Anna ~ Janelle ~ Franklin ~ Chloe and 3 great grandchildren Nevaeh ~ Ember ~ Dagen

She was preceded in death by her parents Don & Donita McCoy, and son Greg.

Celebration of Life will be Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home (413 Elm Street, Louisville, Nebraska). Beginning at 4:00 PM, the Service will be lived-streamed on the funeral home website (fusselmanallenharvey.com). Burial in Tecumseh Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with family greeting from 3:30 P.M. until time of the Celebration of Life. Masks are required due to outbreak of COVID and all social distancing measures will be followed.
