Jocie Allen Skinner age 85 of South Bend, Nebraska passed away on September 16, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on July 25, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to T.J. and Vayden (Price) Brown.

In 1959, Jocie graduated from Fairfax Hall High School in Fairfax, Virginia. She would later further her education at the University of Texas. Jocie and Ralph Skinner were married January 19, 1991 their home in South Bend, Nebraska.

Jocie was a dedicated professional in the banking industry, working in Quality Assurance at First National Bank for over 25 years, where her strong work ethic and attention to detail were greatly valued. Beyond her career, she found joy in a variety of activities; she had a profound love for riding horses and excelled in both English and Western saddle riding. Jocie shared her knowledge by teaching English saddle riding for many years.

A passionate collector, Jocie enjoyed gathering precious stones and gorillas of all sorts. Her love for games of the mind was matched only by her affinity for animals, particularly Chihuahua dogs. Over the years, she took care of numerous dogs, Jocie also had an affinity for technology, often frequenting Best Buy to indulge her enthusiasm for the latest gadgets.

She is survivied by her husband Ralph Skinner of South Bend, NE; children, Michael Anne Brandner of Radcliff, KY, Travis (Sylvia) Skinner of Ottomwa, IA, Matthew (Heidi) Skinner of Mesa, AZ, Rusti (Shane) Davis of Rogersville, MO and Ralph (Amanda) Skinner of Smithville, MO; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Marshall (Cindy) Brown of Tuscon, AZ.

Jocie is preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Todd Brandner.

A funeral service for Jocie will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. A visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
