Joel Ann "Jody" Applegate, 78, Syracuse, NE died Tuesday June 3, 2014 at her home. Jody Applegate was born December 13, 1935, a daughter of Harold and Anna (Koutsky) Glissmann in Omaha, NE. She married William E. Applegate, Sr. on September 7, 1960. He proceeded her in death on July 2, 1989.

She is survived by her four children, William (Janyce) Applegate, Jr. of Naperville, IL, Anna Applegate of Omaha, NE, Carl (Lori) Applegate of Lincoln, NE and Andrew (Lisa) Applegate of Port Republic, MD and nine grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Gayle (Richard) Haefele of Crystal Lake, IL, four nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews.

Visitation at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home 644 Park St., Syracuse, NE will be held Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 9:00am-9:00pm with family present between 6 and 8pm.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, 2014 10:00 AM at Syracuse Baptist Church 100 Parker Dr., Syracuse, NE.

Private burial at Westlawn Cemetery, Omaha, NE.
