Brice, John T. Jr. was born on November 12, 1926 in Omaha, Nebraska to John T. and Clara B. (Brown) Brice, Sr. He passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Plattsmouth at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 13 days.

John graduated from the West Dodge High School and then enlisted into the U.S. Navy serving during World War II, he continued his navy career in the Naval reserves for 38 years retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. On February 5, 1953, he was united in marriage to Virginia M. Adcock in Omaha, Nebraska. After Virginia passed away in 1979, he met and married Janet I. Spangler on August 31, 1981 in Omaha.

John worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years where he served in several capacities such as a mail carrier for 13 years, driver, examiner and instructor. He also worked as a Douglas County Reserve Deputy Sheriff for 18 years.

John was a member of the Plattsmouth Eagles Club, the Murray Planning Board and the Election Board.
He is Survived by his Wife: Janet Brice, Murray, NE; Children, Jennifer & Robert Simon, Omaha, NE; Rebecca & Bill Swan Sarasota, FL; Lesli Brice, Omaha, NE; G. Scott Brice, Omaha, NE; Step-Daughters: Susan & Rick Nawrocki, Plattsmouth, NE; Carrie & Bob Kreiser, Council Bluffs, IA; Christine & Todd Thrower, Bellevue, NE; 11 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1st wife, Virginia.

FUNERAL MASS will be held on Fri (5/28) at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Plattsmouth, NE

VISITATION will be Thurs (5/27) from 1 – 5 PM at the Funeral Home, resuming at 6 PM at the Church of the Holy Spirit with family greeting friends until the time of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M.

INTOMBMENT in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum – Omaha, NE
