John "Jiggs" Gruber, was born May 31, 1921, in Union, Nebraska, to John Sr. and Maude (Miller) Gruber. He passed away, November 7, 2009, at the Louisville Care Center, at the age of 88 years, 5 months, and 7 days.
During World War II, he worked at the C.C. camps in Weeping Water, Nebraska. Jiggs Retired from Ash Grove Cement Company, in 1984 after 37 years of work.
Jiggs is survived by his children Larry Gruber of Covington, KY, Judy and husband Ray Mumenthaler, of Manley, NE, Linda and husband Henry Hoffman, of Lincoln, NE, Steve and wife Pat Gruber, of Manley, NE, John and wife Lori Gruber, of Wahoo, NE, Janice and husband Jim Hodges, of Glen Rose, TX, Bob and wife Carol Gruber, of Manley, NE, Michael and wife Linda Gruber, of Douglas, NE, 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, along with brother Erinie and wife Arlene Gruber, of Louisville, NE, sister-in-law Lorraine Gruber, of Kirksville, MO, and brother-in-law Dick Frederickson, Louisville, NE
Preceded in Death by his daughter Nancy K., parents John and Maude Gruber, grandson Jesse, sister Pauline Frederickson and brother Bob
Memorial Services for John "Jiggs" Gruber, will be Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fusselman Wymore Funeral Chapel, 413, Elm Street, Louisville, NE, with burial at River View Cemetery, Louisville, NE. Family Suggests Memorials to the Families Choice
