Obituary
John William Kastens was born on April 17, 1946, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Alvin & Velma (Holscher) Kastens. He left us on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Country House in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 65 years, 9 months, and 22 days.
John married Linda Mishler on September 26, 1970 in Lincoln, Nebraska. To this union they had 2 children Michael and Keysha. John was the owner of Kastens Ford in Syracuse, Nebraska for many years. He loved Farming, Cattle and the Dealership. He collected model cars and tractors and enjoyed Clint Eastwood movies. He was also on the Luther Memorial Church Board.
John served in the National Guard from 1964 until 1970.
He is survived by his Wife Linda Kastens of Unadilla, NE, Children Michael John Kastens of Lincoln, NE, Keysha and husband Robert Andrew Stark of Seattle WA, Sister Barbara Kastens and special friend Jeff Lechner of Lincoln, NE, Granddaughter Olivia Harlow Stark of Seattle, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be Saturday February 11, 2012 at 10:30 A.M., at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse, Nebraska. The family suggests memorial to the Alzheimer's Association.
Visitation will be Friday from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. at the funeral home. There will be no viewing due to a closed casket.
