John was born October 14, 1955, in Beatrice, Nebraska, to Glenn & Mary Jane (Frye) Plucknett. He passed away at his home in Louisville, Nebraska, at the age of 54 years, 5 months, and 30 days.

John married Lynn Ann Acton, on June 2, 1977, in Beatrice, Nebraska, and to this union the raised 3 loving children. John & Lynn formally lived in, Ogallala, NE; Sutherland, NE; & DeWitt, NE. He worked as a Community Banker, but in his spare time he was a member of Cass County Economic Development; Nebraska Innovation Zone Commission, Chairman; Administrative Council, First United Methodist Church, Louisville, Nebraska LEAD Program, Nebraska; Nebraska Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, Conference Finance and Administration.

John is survived by his wife Lynn A. Plucknett, of Louisville, NE, daughter Leticia B. Plucknett, and fiancé` Mark A. Vandehaar, of New York City, New York, sons Jared & Annette Plucknett, of Omaha, NE, Grandchildren AnnaBelle Marie, Jack William, and son Justin & Erika Plucknett, of Manley, NE, and Granddaughter Eliza. Mother-in-law Donna J. Acton, of Beatrice, NE

John is preceded in Death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 222 Walnut Street, Louisville, NE. The Family Suggests Memorials to First United Methodist Church, Louisville, Nebraska

Visitation will be Friday, April 16, 2010 from 1 until 9 P.M. at the Funeral Home with viewing. THE CASKET WILL NOT BE OPEN AT THE CHURCH, ON SATURDAY!.

Child care will be provided in the Education Building at Church.
