John W. Yurges, 82 of Talmage, passed away on August 22, 2025, at his home. He was born on October 29, 1942, in Alden, IA to Walter & Dorothy (Roosa) Yurges.

John's career started as a mechanical draftsman, and he later worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed socializing with his friends, especially at The Lorton Lounge.

He is survived by his brother Don (Caroline) Yurges, sister Cheryl (Cliff) Greene as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Derek Yurges and siblings Frances Hanson, Richard Yurges and Gail White.

No services are scheduled at this time.
