Joseph K. Chadwick, 77 of Unadilla, passed away at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln on May 16, 2023. He was born on February 16, 1946, to William & Delpha (Hord) Chadwick in Independence, MO. Joe married Lois on June 17, 1967, at the Raytown Christian Church in Raytown, MO.

Shortly after he was married, Joe joined the Navy and served in the submarine service. He was proud to serve his country and was on active duty for 8 years and 14 years on reserves. While serving in the Navy he worked as a chemist and later helped build the USS Los Angeles.

Joe would later become a pastor the Disciples of Christ Church in Unadilla for 13 years as well as serving as a safety inspector. He had many passions which included photography, gardening and watching movies, especially if they were about submarines. He also enjoyed listening to all types of music, but classic rock was his favorite. When he was younger, he enjoyed biking, running and roller skating.

He is survived by his wife Lois Chadwick, sons William Chadwick & Cindy Oberding, Brian Chadwick; grandchildren Holly & Jared Chadwick; sister-in-law Janet L. Timme; also many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Andy Chadwick and brothers-in-law Michael Locklear and Larry Timme.
