Joyce B. Janssen age 84, of Lincoln, NE, formerly of Syracuse, NE who died at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, Lincoln, NE on Monday, April 06, 2009.
Joyce was born December 12, 1924, in Holbrook, NE, to Herbert and Ethel Gladys, (Smith), Tucker. She married on July 1, 1945 in Syracuse, Nebraska to Keith E. Janssen, and to this union they raised 5 children, Cheryl, Mary, Steve, John, and Gary. Her loves were her Family, School, Church, and Community. Joyce was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Massie Richards Post #100, Syracuse, Nebraska
Joyce is survived by her daughters Cheryl Wulf, of Lincoln, NE, Mary and husband Daryl Hopp, of Eagle, NE, sons John Janssen, of Nebraska City, NE, Steven and wife Kimberly Janssen, of Lincoln, NE, and Gary and wife Shelly Janssen, of Lincoln, NE 9-grandchildren, David Wulf, Stephanie Wulf, Angie Badgett & husband Danny, Spencer Janssen, Phillip Janssen,Michael Janssen, Taylor Janssen, Brandon Janssen, and Kylie Janssen, 1-great grandson, Austin Wulf
Brother-in-law Forrest Halvorsen, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Joyce is preceded death by her parents, husband Keith, 1998

Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church, 1551 South 70th Street, Lincoln, NE, with GRAVESIDE SERVICES at 2:00 P.M. at Parkhill Cemetery, Syracuse, Nebraska.
