Obituary
Joycelin (Joycie) Gayle Schacht, 60, of Beatrice died Wed., Feb. 20, 2013 at her home at the Beatrice State Developmental Center, surrounded by loving care givers.
She was born March 12, 1952 in Nebraska City to Marvin and Vivian (Vermule) Schacht.
She is survived by her sisters: Diane Schacht of Syracuse and Anita (Ron) Bowman of Hooper; nieces, Elizabeth (Ken) Halvorsen of Lincoln, Alicia (Erich) Schafer of Hooper, and nephew, Dr. Erik (Crystal) Bowman of Madison, WI. Also, great-nephews, Jordan Satter of Lincoln, Brigham Schafer of Hooper, and great niece, Kaitlyn Halvorsen of Lincoln, and aunt, Elvera Juilfs Desmond of Miami, FL. Also, other relatives, friends, and care givers at BSDC.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at St. Paul's UCC Church (Osage), rural Cook, NE at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Curtis Rieger officiating.
Visitation will be Friday from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with the family receiving friends will be from 6 – 8 p.m. at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse. Viewing will continue one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
