Juanita Ruth (Hoffmann) Schroeder was born on June 9, 1933 in Oregon, Missouri to William M. and Minnie (Ott) Hoffmann. She departed this life on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at her home in Plattsmouth at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 27 days.

Juanita grew up in Oregon and attended and graduated from High School there. She was working for the local telephone company when Kenneth Schroeder a rock truck driver stopped to make a telephone call. The two fell in love and were married on May 12, 1954 in Oregon, Missouri. They eventually moved to Plattsmouth and Nita worked for Western Electric for many years and also worked for the Glenwood State Home for several years. Kenny and Juanita bought a Kenworth Truck at one time and together drove over the road. She and Kenny never had children, but Nita was a caregiver for her family and friends throughout the years.

She was a member of Living Water Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles #365 both of Plattsmouth.

She is survived by her sister, Joann Stinnett of Skidmore, Missouri and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenny in 1982, sisters, Beverly Sharp, Lola Sill, brothers, William Hoffmann, Jr., Cleo Hoffmann and Leo Hoffmann

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Living Water Church, 1623 Chicago Ave, Plattsmouth with Dr. Allan Wooters officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2009 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home, Plattsmouth, NE
