Judy L. Finch, 80 of Omaha, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 25th, 2024. She was born on June 16th, 1943, to Joseph & Lela (Stovall) Habel near Louisville.

After raising her kids, Judy moved to Colorado and fell in love with the state and made it her home for 35 years. She made history as the first licensed female truck driver in Colorado and worked as a contract driver for the United States Postal Service.

Judy was known for her adventurous spirit and zest for life. She had a passion for bingo and often organized trips with friends to Albuquerque, NM, for high-stakes games. Her love for the color purple was well-known among her family and friends. Judy will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who embraced life with enthusiasm and joy.

She is survived by her daughter: Veronica Garrison; son: Franklin & Verlynn Nickels; stepdaughter: Mary Wilson; grandchildren Joseph & Kelsi Dhaenens, William Dhaenens & fiancée Nikki Roberts, Presley Dhaenens, Alexandria Liebig, Lexus Nickels, Franklin Nickels Jr., Jeffrey Jimerson; 13 great grandchildren; siblings JoAnne Bradshaw, Janice Roloff, Jeanine Cooley, Jeffrey Habel; also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, great granddaughter Brooklyn Alrie Dhaenens and special friend Dathan Stokes.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Louisville. A visitation will be held 1 hour before the start of the service from 10 until 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Glendale Cemetery near Louisville.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
