Judy (Hug) Larsen of Cedar Creek was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved grandson, Jason, and her husband, Ron, on Sunday, October 21, 2018.

Judy is survived by her son Darrell, (Suzanne) Larsen and granddaughter, Erin; her daughter, Brenda, (Brian) Teller and granddaughters Hailey and Paige, as well as three brothers: Harold, Bob, and Ralph.

She married her childhood friend, Ron, on June 10, 1963. Together they had two children, Darrell and Brenda, who they raised in Cedar Creek. To ensure her kids got to school safely, Judy drove the school bus for Louisville Public School for 13 years. Once Darrell and Brenda were old enough to drive themselves, she moved on to a 30-year career at the Cass County Assessors' office where she retired in 2013.

Her greatest love was for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was the kind of grandma who didn't hesitate to get down on the floor to play and was always looking for a grandchild to fill her lap.  Grandma Judy was known to watch Spongebob with Paige, watch movies and eat popcorn with Hailey, and visit Erin in Las Vegas. Today, she is likely making fruit salad or some "secret stash" in Heaven for Jason.

Judy's family will cherish memories with her at the lake, including countless rides on the pontoon boat and weenie roasts around the fire pit.  The go-to s'more builder of the family will be deeply missed. While Judy will be spending Christmas with Jesus this year, her family will continue the tradition of arguing about how to properly cook a prime rib and whether or not to finally "cut back" on presents.

A visitation we be held Wednesday, October 24 ^th at Fusselman Allen Harvey funeral home in Louisville from 1 P.M. until 9 P.M. with her family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church (15616 84 ^th Street rural Louisville) at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 25 ^th .  Family suggests memorials to Christ Lutheran Church.
