Karen J. Driever, 62 of Syracuse, passed away at home on October 13, 2023. She was born on February 6, 1961, to James & Beverly (Schell) Olsen in Nebraska City. Karen worked as a beautician for many years in Nebraska City and later as the Director of Housing at the Housing Authority in Nebraska City and Syracuse.

One of the most important things in Karen's life was her recovery with AA for 17 years. She became a sponsor and helped many people change their lives. Karen had an adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors, especially camping. She enjoyed drawing along with many other artistic pursuits. The other great love of Karen's life was her family and she cherished time spent with them. Her life was one of giving and helping people in need.

She is survived by her sons Jasper (Kelsey) Keran, Bradley (Taylor) Driever, Kelson Driever; grandchildren Brycen Keran, Eldon Keran, Cooper Driever, Levi Hansen, Karsen Driever, Jaxon Driever, Brindley Driever, Easton Driever, Harley Driever; brother Brian (Andrea) Olsen; sister Lisa (Mike) Schmidt; nephews Luke & Sean Olsen; also many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband Kevin Driever.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Church in Nebraska City.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
