Keith "Rocky" A. Compton, 66 of Syracuse, passed away August 26, 2016 at his home in Syracuse. He was born on August 26, 1950 to John & Maxine (Grubbs) Compton in Nebraska City, NE.

Keith married Kathleen Shephard on June 1, 1974 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Burr, NE and to this union they had one son Jon. He worked as a custodian for B&R Stores. He was a member of the Free Masons and also enjoyed fishing and camping. Keith never met a stranger and would visit with everyone.

He is survived by his Wife: Kathleen of Syracuse; Son: Jon (Lisa) Compton of Syracuse; Grandchildren: Dakotah, Rachel, Kelsey, Lucus, Angel; Sister: Gerri (Larry) Larson of Unadilla; Brother: Tom (Rita) Compton of Unadilla; Brother-in-law: Larry (Linda) Shephard of Council Bluffs, IA; also many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and Brother-in-law: Jim Eisenhauer.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 1 P.M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Chapel in Syracuse. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the start of the service.
