Keith A. Fankhauser 65, of Louisville, passed away at his home on July 26, 2024. Keith was born on January 4, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Lee & May (Clements) Fankhauser. He graduated from Northeast Nodaway High School in Ravenwood, MO. On April 22, 1995, he married Christine Shryock at the Louisville Christian Church.

Keith was a member of Local 571 Teamsters and worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement two years ago. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and had a deep love for animals, especially horses and his beloved goat, Rawhide. Keith enjoyed 4-wheeling and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He recently volunteered for seven months at the Lewis & Clark Center in Nebraska City, where he contributed to building a replica fort.

In 2022, Keith celebrated 20 years of sobriety and was an active member of the Millard AA Club. He had many hobbies which he loved, including playing pool, playing the guitar, singing karaoke and creating art. He was always willing to have a good time and knew how to make people laugh.

Keith is survived by his wife, Christine; parents, Lee and May Fankhauser; his sisters, Cindy Fankhauser and Wanda Fankhauser-Nelson; his brother, John (Beth) Fankhauser; sister-in-law Cherie (Che) Torchia; his beloved dog Gretchen and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Keith and Patricia Shryock, along with his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
