Obituary

Keith P. Nash, 71, of Palmyra, passed away on August 25, 2025, at the Gately House in Syracuse. He was born on December 6, 1953, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Clinton P. and Ruth A. (Winkle) Nash.

Keith graduated from Palmyra High School in 1972 and went on to earn his Associate of Applied Art degree in Air Conditioner Technology from Milford Technical College on June 6, 1974. He spent his career working in construction and maintenance, beginning with the American Baptist Church where he helped build Camp Moses Merrill, operating heavy equipment, and doing rough carpentry. He later worked with Vokoc Construction in Wayne, before joining his father at Nash Inc. as an equipment operator. Keith went on to serve as the town maintenance man in Palmyra, where he became known for doing and repairing a bit of everything. He concluded his career with the City of Lincoln, working 25 years as a Utility Plant Mechanic.

Keith was known for his independence, and love of visiting with others. A true "car guy," he had a special fondness for Chryslers and possessed the rare ability to diagnose and repair just about anything. He enjoyed attending auctions, always with a sharp eye for value and a knack for negotiation. Friends and family will remember his sense of humor, strong problem-solving skills, and the determination that carried him through even when life presented physical challenges.

Keith is survived by his sisters, Marcia (Jim McVicar) Ludden of Albuquerque, NM, and Carolyn Nash of Palmyra; nephew, Sean (Mimi) Ludden; and great-niece, Maya Ludden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Please support the Douglas Fire & Rescue Units in Keith's name.
