Kenneth John Beckmann was born on November 26, 1923 in Sterling, Nebraska to Otto and Alma (Schulte) Beckmann. He passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 27 days.
Kenneth was raised in the Sterling area, but later made his home near Burr, Nebraska. He worked as a carpenter for Neeman Construction for many years and in later years worked as a Courier for the Countryside Bank in Burr. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enjoyed fishing trips and daily trips to have coffee with friends in Syracuse.
He is survived by Cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto & Alma Beckmann, Sister: Irene Parde, Brothers: Merlin and Darrel Beckmann.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Hope Lutheran Church in Burr, Nebraska with Rev. Jim Hellgren officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, November 26th from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Burr, Nebraska.
Memorial may be given to Hope Lutheran Church in Burr, Nebraska.
