Kim Karla Kirchhoff 52 of Avoca Died September 4, 2009 at her home after a three year battle with cancer. Kim, daughter of Gene and Sandra Scheef, was born January 8, 1957, in Omaha. Her family lived on a farm at Gretna until moving to Burr in 1966. Kim graduated from Syracuse High School in 1975 and attended the University of Nebraska before marrying Shane Kirchhoff, September 11, 1976 at First Lutheran Church (North Branch), Avoca.

Kim worked in retail 33 years including "Do-It-Best Hardware" in Syracuse. Shane and Kim have two children, Jess, and Lizabeth. Kim and Shane enjoyed attending their activities and sporting events.

Kim is survived by Shane, of Avoca, NE, son Jess and wife Lori grandchildren Hailey & Ryan Kirchhoff, all of Syracuse, NE, daughter Lizabeth Kirchhoff and Jerome Green and grandson Jerome Green Jr. of Omaha, NE, parents Gene and Sandra Scheef, of Burr, NE parents-in-law Harlan and Belva Kirchhoff, of Avoca, NE, grandmother-in-law June Johnson, of Syracuse, NE sisters Jan and Ken Snyder, of Schuyler, NE Terri and Wes Janssen, of Syracuse, NE, Gail and Rod Bates, of Omaha, NE, brothers Willie and Denise Scheef, of Syracuse, NE Monte and Joni Scheef, of Omaha, NE sisters-in-lawCheryl and Lou Meek, of Omaha, NE, and Michele and Steve Mueller, of Avoca, NE, also many nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 10:30 A.M. at First Lutheran Church (North Branch), 1434 N 30 Rd, Avoca, NE. with burial at the Church Cemetery. Family suggest memorials to the Families Choice.

Visitation will begin, Sunday from 4 P.M. until 9 P.M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6 until 8 P.M.
