Kody Michael Berner, 23, of Ashland, NE, died October 5, 2022 in Lincoln, NE. He was born on May 1, 1999 in Ventura, CA to Jason and Lori (Rozmariek) Berner.

Kody was a welding student at Southeast Community College. He mostly enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hanging with friends, target practicing with his Dad, and playing with the family dogs. He was an excellent online gamer and was sought out by many too play with and against. He was deeply patriotic, having spent most of his youth on Marine Corp bases wherever his father was stationed, and he proudly flew an American flag on the back of his pickup.

He is survived by his mother Lori Berner and Willie Nalley, Papillion, NE, his father and stepmother Jason and Bobbi Berner, Ashland, NE. Brothers Logan Berner, Lincoln, NE, and Mitchell Berner, Ashland, NE. Grandparents Teresa and Bruce Liesemeyer, Unadilla, NE. Aunts and Uncles, Shad and Kerby Berner, Titus and Lilly, Syracuse, NE; Jennifer and Jeff Bulin, Grand Island, NE and sons Caleb and Jedidiah Hardy, Lincoln, NE; Cathy and Obdolio Gomez, Natasha, Emily, Marissa and Anna, Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Carl and Barb Rozmiarek, David Berner; Great Grandparents Ernest and Imogene Bro, Dean and Norma Berner, Floyd and Vera McMullen, Floyd and Carol Rozmariek, Lois Liesemeyer; Great Aunt Joni Brace.

Visitation Sunday, October 9, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm., at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home, Syracuse, NE. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 10 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Paulinus Catholic Church, Syracuse, NE. The service will be livestreamed on the St. Paulinus Facebook page.
