Larry G. Panko of Syracuse, formally of Lincoln, NE was born on August 18, 1944 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Christian & Birdean (Carpenter) Panko. He passed away at home surrounded by family on January 2, 2013 at the age of 68 years, 4 months, and 15 days.
Larry married Beverly A. Hillman on May 28, 1964 at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) in Rural Avoca, Nebraska and to this union they had two children Jeffrey and Jenniffer. Larry worked as a machinist his whole life before retiring in 2000. He also was a former member of Southwood Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
Larry is survived by Wife: Beverly A. Panko of Syracuse, NE, Son: Jeffrey A. & Cheryl Panko of Otoe, NE, Daughter: Jenniffer A. Panko-Rahe & Larry Rahe, Jr. of Syracuse, NE, Grandchildren: Christian, Hannah & Lauren Panko; Colton & Mira Rahe, Sisters: Ruth & Dubby Boone of Eagle, NE, Jeanie & Arlan Witt of Texas, Brother in law: Ronald & Kathy Hillman of Otoe, NE.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Christian & Birdean Panko, Brother: Donald Panko, Parents-in-law: Harold & Lorene Hillman, Brother-in-law James Hillman.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 5, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) in Rural Avoca, NE with Rev. Bill Dressen officiating. Desserts will be served after the service.
Burial will be at the First Lutheran Cemetery (North Branch) in Rural Avoca, NE.

Visitation will be held on Friday January 4, 2013 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
