Obituary
Larry G. Ruge was born March 6, 1940 in rural Avoca, Nebraska to Maurice and Sophie (Stubbendick) Ruge. He passed away at his home with loving family on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at the age of 67 years, 9 months, and
12 days.
Larry married Winnifred Bucheger on April 25, 1964 in Glidden, Wisconsin, and to this union they raised 4 children Ward, Pam, Tina, and Jenny, until Winnie's death in 1987, at which time he did his best to be mother and
father to their kids. Larry married Joan Berner on November 3, 2007, in Syracuse, Nebraska.
Larry is survived by his wife Joan Ruge, of Syracuse, NE, son Ward and wife Melissa, of Ft. Calhoun, NE, daughter Pam and husband Chris Lefferdink, of
Syracuse, NE, daughter Tina and Curtis Kuhr, of rural Otoe, NE, daughter Jenny Ruge, of Avoca, NE and fiancé Tom Meyer, 8 grandchildren, brother Bud
and wife Ginny Ruge, of Denver, CO, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his beloved wife Winnie, parents Maurice and Sophie, and sister Lila Mae.
Services will be Friday, December 21, 2007 at 10:30 A.M., at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Syracuse, Nebraska.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 until 9 P.M., and Thursday from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M.. The family suggests memorials to the families choice.
