Laurence V. Royal, 96 of Unadilla, passed away on March 8, 2017 at his home. He was born on March 4, 1921 to Herman & Elizabeth (Kempkes) Royal in rural Palmyra.

Laurence married Ellen Brinkman on February 12, 1942 at St. Leo's in Palmyra. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1943. Laurence worked as a farmer and loved to take care of his land and cattle. He was also involved with the Unadilla Fire Dept. He enjoyed going to the coffee shop to visit with friends and spending time with his family.

Laurence is survived by his Children: Dallas (Cheryl) Royal of Unadilla, Marlene (Gail) Neumeister of Peru; Grandchildren: Brenda (Chris) Wander, Mike (Wendy) Royal, Angie (Greg) Miller, Steve Royal, Jeremy (Cassie) Royal, Trisha Neumeister, Justin (Shae) Neumeister, Sherry (Jeromy) Jones, Jared Neumeister, Jordan Neumeister; 13 Great Grandchildren; Brother: Raymond (Tom) & wife: Marion Royal of Syracuse; Sister-in-law: Doris Royal of Springfield, Verna Brinkman of Tecumseh; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, wife: Ellen, daughter: Ruth, son: Marvin, Siblings: Herman, Roy, Leo, Lloyd, James, Gertrude, Louise, Marie, Magdaline.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 10 A.M. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill cemetery.

Rosary will be held at St. Paulinus Catholic Church at 7 P.M. on Sunday, March 12. Closed Casket
