Lee Rau A. Gaebel was born, July 27, 1927, in Louisville, Nebraska, to Fred and Ester (Rau) Gaebel. He passed away, Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Louisville Care Center at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 19 days.

Lee Rau married Joyce Stock, on May 1, 1949, at the Callahan E.U.B. Church, Murdock, Nebraska, and to this union they raised 4 children Terry, Ricky, Gary, and Jody. He was Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, and Trustee for many years at Immanuel Lutheran Church, of Louisville, and Board Member of Manley Co-op Elevator.


Lee Rau is survived by his wife Joyce of Murdock, NE, sons Terry (Jacque), of Plattsmouth, NE, Ricky, of Omaha, NE, Gary (Laura), of Murdock, NE, daughter Jody Poole, of Louisville, NE, sister Lucille (Chris) McGrew, of Omaha, NE 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Lee Rau is preceded in Death by his parents Fred & Ester Gaebel, sister LaVerne Braack & Clarice Koch.

VISITATION will be Saturday, March 20, from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., and Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, all at the Funeral Home. The Casket will be Open one hour before services at the Church.
