LeRoy Fredrick "Butch" Obermeyer Sr. of Syracuse, was born on a farm in rural Syracuse on July 7, 1937 to Henry & Kate (Fahrenholz) Obermeyer. He passed away in Lincoln on August 15, 2013 at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 8 days.

Butch married Shirley Ramold on September 29, 1959 in Sidney, Iowa and to this union they had five children. Butch worked at the Eastern Public Power until it changed to Omaha Public Power District. He worked as a mechanic for 37 ½ years. He also farmed and drove a truck for Elson Wiles. He was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church and also the Eagles Aeria 968 in Nebraska City. Butch enjoyed playing cards, fishing and hunting.

Butch is survived by his Wife Shirley of Syracuse, Children LeRoy "Butch" Obermeyer Jr. of Murray, NE, Larry (Joan) Obermeyer, of Syracuse, NE, Christine Mounce, of Syracuse, NE, Lonnie (Susan) Obermeyer, of Syracuse, NE, Lisa (Greg) Berner, of Lincoln, NE, Grandchildren Chelsea & Tawni Mounce, Blake & Kali Berner, Bailey, Taylor & Jessica Obermeyer, Ryan Shannon, Tony & Rachel DeSanti, Nick & Jake Eisenhauer, Great Grandchildren Skylar DeSanti, Mickenna & Quinn Shannon Mother-in-law Helen Ramold, of Nebraska City, NE, Sister Doris Berry of Lincoln, NE, Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law Larry & Nancy Ramold, of Lubbock, TX, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother-in-law Thomas Berry, Father-in-law Lawrence Ramold, Aunts & Uncles.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 19th, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse, NE.

Visitation will be held on Sunday August 18 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse. The family suggests memorials to the family's choice.
