Leslie David Haertel was born, January 31, 1953, in Albany GA, to Stanley & Barbra (Marcoe) Haertel. He passed away at his home, on April 8, 2010, in Alvo, Nebraska at the age of 57 years, 2 months, and 8 days.
Les worked for Dobson Construction, as an Equipment Operator. He loved racing cars in Colorado, woodworking, and having a Garden.
Les is survived by his mother Barbra, of Brooklyn IA, sons David, of CO, and Wyatt, of Roca, NE, sisters Patty Shine & husband Dennis, of Victor, IA, & Lisa Evans, of Brooklyn, IA, nieces & nephews Carrie Gasper & husband Nick, Robert Gasper & wife Jenny, Heather Stwell, & husband Scott, and Deana Evans, great grandnieces, and uncle Gary Marcoe & wife Karen.
Les is preceded in death in death by his father Stanley, son Jason, brother Dean
MEMORIAL Service will be Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Fusselman Wymore Funeral Chapel, 113 West "D" Street, Elmwood, Nebraska, with burial at a later time. His family Suggest Memorials in Leiu of Flowers to the Family.
Visitation with NO VIEWING will be Tuesday morning from 9 A.M. until time of Services.
