Lester Wellensiek was born August 6, 1926, in Cook, Nebraska, to Edwin and Dora (Doeden) Wellensiek. He passed away Monday, November 10, 2008, at Belle Terrace Nursing Home, in Tecumseh, Nebraska, at the age of 82 years, 3 months, and 4 days.

Lester married Vivian Blessing on January 10, 1963, in Geneva, Nebraska. He lived on the Farm North of Cook most of his life. Lester was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ (Osage) Rural Cook, NE

Lester is survived by his Brother Harold Wellensiek and wife Eldora of Tecumseh, NE; Niece Linda Lueders and husband Dan of Elk Creek, NE: Great Niece Christine Wellensiek of Elk Creek, NE: Step-Son William Snow and wife Joan of Lincoln, NE; Step Grandchildren Liz, Shea & Will Snow, Becky Gramsture and Erica Mikulsky. Aunt Mrs. John Gawart of Nebraska City, NE; Also survived by cousins and friends.

Lester is preceded in Death by his Parents and Wife Vivian Wellensiek (8/10/1994)

Memorial Services will be Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ (Osage) Rural Cook, NE, with burial at St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery (Osage) Rural Cook, NE
