Leta E. Haeffner

Leta E. Haeffner 98, Syracuse, formerly of Cook and Burr, widow of Raymond Haeffner, died Monday (8/6/07) at the Good Samaritan Center, Syracuse. Leta was born 3/7/1909 in Syracuse.

She was married 3/7/34 to Raymond Haeffner in Maryville, Mo. Leta worked as a School Teacher and Homemaker and was active and attended the Burr United Methodist Church, United Methodist Church Women, Friendly Neighbors Extension Club.

Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Marlene Haeffner, Burr, Robert and Helen Haeffner, Lincoln, Jack and Eleanor Haeffner, Lincoln; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Neal Bentzinger, Cook, Judy and Gary Smith, Lincoln; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday (8/10/07), Burr United Methodist Church, Burr, Neb. Rev. Lyn Seiser.

Cemetery: Hopewell Cemetery, Rural-Unadilla, Neb.

Visitation: 3-9 p.m. Wednesday (8/8/07), 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Thursday (8/9/07). The casket will be open One Hour before Church Services - Friday (8/10/07).

Memorials: IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, MEMORIALS ARE SUGGESTED TO FAMILY'S CHOICE.
