Linda D. Genthe Conkel, 74 of Lincoln, passed away on April 12, 2023, at The Monarch in Lincoln. She was born on July 8, 1948, to Elvin & Florence (McCann) Bassett in Nebraska City.

Linda loved being a mother and caregiver to her family and to any animal that was in need, including wild animals. She also enjoyed traveling and shopping with Mike.

She is survived by her husband Mike Conkel; daughter Karri Genthe-Henderson; grandchildren Dayn, Logan, Laci & Malinda Henderson; brother Dennis Bassett; also nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth "Buck" Genthe; son-in-law Nicholas Henderson; sister Kay Othmer and brother Ronald Bassett.

Graveside services will be held at the Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 16.

Memorials are suggested to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation.
