Linda K. Lenker, age 81, of Omaha, passed away on January 13, 2024, at Echo Hills Assisted Living in Omaha. Linda was born on December 1, 1942, in Lincoln, NE, to Fritz and Rosie (Kehlbeck) Rohlfs.

After high school, Linda moved into Augustana in Omaha and attended a secretarial college. While she learned a great deal, she also gained many friends and would remember this as an exciting and cherished time in her life. On December 20, 1963, Linda entered into a lifelong union with Lanny R. Lenker. Together, they would build a life filled with love.

In her early years, Linda worked for Northwestern Bell and then joined the FBI as a Clerk-Dictating Machine Subscriber.  She resigned in July of 1966 to become a dedicated homemaker which allowed her to bond with her children and create timeless memories. Linda found joy in various activities, including roller skating and bowling. She also was a devoted grandmother and made sure to attend all her grandchildren's activities.

Linda is survived by her son: Gary (Tari) Lenker; daughter: Becky (Shawn) Brechbill both of Springfield; grandchildren: Taylor (Scott) Ritter, Lindsey Brechbill, Braedyn Lenker, Reed Lenker; cousins: Shirley Stohlmann and Cindy (Kirby) Drake; along with nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband and in-laws Reed & Bernice Lenker.

Funeral services for Linda will be held Friday, January 26, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) in rural Avoca.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later distribution to a local ALS and Alzheimer's Association.
