Linda Lockhart, age 64 of Elmwood, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025.  She was born on August 27, 1960, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Lonnie and Sharon (Phillips) Rorie.

A proud graduate of the Elmwood High School Class of 1978. Following her graduation, she married Mike Stubbendeck, and together they welcomed three daughters: Stacey, Shelby, and Whitney. Although she and Mike later divorced, she remained a devoted mother to her three girls.   In 2004, Linda found love once more and married Tim Lockhart in Vermillion, SD.

Linda dedicated 40 years of her professional life to State Farm, where she served in a variety of capacities over the years. Her commitment to her work was only matched by the love she had for her family and the joy she took in life's simple pleasures.

Linda was an adventurer at heart, always eager to explore new places and create lasting memories with her family. Her home was a testament to her talents, with flourishing flower gardens and beautifully crafted DIY projects. She loved to cook and shared her creations with those she loved. An avid gardener, crafts enthusiast, and innovative home remodeler, Linda's hands were never idle, always creating, nurturing, and bringing joy to those around her. Her life was defined by the love she gave and received. A devoted mother, dedicated grandmother, cherished daughter, and beloved sister.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Stacey & Ben Murdoch, Shelby & Brian Krings, and Whitney & Andrew Throener; her adored grandchildren, Asha & Harper Murdoch, Jayden Halferty (Jakob Boucher), Isabelle Halferty, Riggins Krings, and Jack & Drew Throener; her parents, Lonnie & Sharon Rorie; her siblings, Lonnie & Susan Rorie, Lori & Jim Kerns, Scott & Leanna Rorie, Tim & Deanna Rorie, and Mary & Wes Royal, alongside numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Lockhart.

A Celebration of Life to honor Linda's memory will be held at the Elmwood Fire Station in Elmwood, NE on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 4:00 pm followed by a reception.

The family requests that donations be directed to the family for future designation.
