Lola J. Hoffman, 97 of Pawnee City, formerly of Syracuse, NE, passed away on April 23, 2014 at the Pawnee Manor. She was born on February 13, 1917 to Daniel & Louise (Rinne) Parks in Violet, NE.

Lola married Marvin Hoffman on November 25, 1942 in Lincoln, NE. She worked for over 40 years as a beautician. She was a member of the VFW in Syracuse and a lifelong member of Salem & St. John's United Church of Christ.

Lola is survived by her Daughter: Trudy (Charles) Shaiffer of Pocahontas, AR; Son: Tim (Denise) Hoffman of Papillion, NE; Grandchildren: Wendy Hamann, Mandy Dollins, Zachary Hoffman, Brett Hoffman; Great Grandchildren: Taylor, Emmalee, Ty, Charley Grace, Tina, Brittney; Great Great Grandson: Rush; Sisters: Elsie Borcher, Minnie Louise (Willard) Binder; Sisters-in-law: Alodyne Parks, Mary Dovel, Phyllis Hoffman, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and Brothers: LaVern, Melvin, Leland, and Fred Parks.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday April 28, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Salem United Church of Christ in Steinauer, NE. Interment will be at the Salem Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to Salem UCC or the VFW Auxiliary in Syracuse
