Lola I. Petersen was born January 10, 1922, in Weeping Water, Nebraska, to Herman & Minnie (Pankonin) Wegener. She left our life, Sunday, March 13, 2011, at the Louisville Care Center, Louisville, Nebraska, at the age of 89 years, 2 months, and 3 days.

Lola married Vern Petersen, October 23, 1959, in Irwin, Iowa. She raised 4 children Jacqueline, Jodith, Lynda, and Jayne. Lola was a member of the Keenager Band, Priscilla Guild, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Irwin Iowa, Volunteer of the Year for the State of Iowa.

Lola is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Jacqueline (Sherman) Salberg, of Avoca, NE, Jodith (Gene) Miller, of Omaha, NE, Lynda (Donald) Reiff-Severa, of Warsaw, MO, and Jayne (Tom) Ramsey, of Monroe, IA, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Lola is preceded in death by her Husband Vern Petersen, Parents Herman & Minnie Wegener, Sister Lorene Jardine, Grandsons Curt Salberg, & Scott Vogler.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Chapel, 413 Elm Street, Louisville, NE. Family Suggest Memorials to the Manilla Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad
