Lonnie E. Muller was born on February 10, 1944 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska to Orville and Lydia (Pitz) Muller. He passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Louisville Care Center in Louisville, Nebraska at the age of 66 years, 3 months and 10 days.
Lonnie was raised in Plattsmouth and lived in the area his entire life. He graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1963. On October 21, 1964, he entered the U.S. Army, serving active duty for a brief time before entering the Reserve Unit which he served until July 28, 1970. Lonnie met Sharon Mischke and the two were married on April 16, 1965 in New Underwood, South Dakota. Together they raised two sons, Morgan and Max.
At age 16, Lonnie went to work for Biles Paint Store in downtown Plattsmouth where he learned skills such as cabinet making, tile laying and floor covering. He later worked for Fay Jose assisting with various construction projects, prior to being hired by Nebraska Public Power District in Plattsmouth in 1968. He continued his career with NPPD until retiring in 2001 as Journeyman Line Technician.
He was active in the Living Water Church and the Plattsmouth Eagles Club where he worked as a Fry Cook during Wednesday Hamburger Nights and was named Mr. Eagle in 2007. Lonnie was also involved with Plattsmouth Wildlife and Gun Club, Sokol South Omaha, he was a Lord of the Realm and coached soccer for 5 years. Lonnie was in the first class of individuals who obtained certification in the Nebraska Game and Parks Hunter Education program which he taught for 35 years. He enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, hunting, bee keeping, and since retirement, has enjoyed traveling.
Lonnie is survived by his Wife: Sharon Muller, Sons: Morgan Muller; Max Muller and wife Lindsey, Grandchildren: Kaleb and Natalya all of Plattsmouth, NE.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Living Water Church in Plattsmouth with Dr. Allan Wooters officiating. Rachel Klopp played the violin and Roger Roberts provided vocal music.
Pallbearers include Bill Allgeier, Mick Snell, Bill Chapman, Jim Furlong, Vern Aylor, Ron Miller
Honorary Pallbearers include Rich Harter, Don Freeburg, Charlie Caverzagie, Cecil McKnight, Art Schleicher, Gary Schiebel
No visitation or viewing, closed casket.
