Loran Richard Rose age 70, of Louisville, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Bergan Mercy Hospital, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born November 22, 1937, in Red Cloud, Nebraska, to Matt and Edna (Blanche) Rose.
Loran served in the United States Navy where he was aboard a ship in the Pacific. He was discharged in February of 1962. He married Shirley Grashorn, on December 6, 1969, in Papillion, Nebraska, and to this union they raised three children John, Jeff, and Leah. Loran worked at one time for Robert's Dairy, and then worked at Iowa Limestone until his retirement. At Iowa Limestone, "He Loved To Blow Things Up". At one time he loved to Fish and Hunt, but lately he had enjoyed working on Small Engines.
Loran is survived by his wife Shirley, of Louisville, sons – John of Flushing, Michigan, Jeff of Omaha, NE, daughter – Leah Rischling of Omaha, 4 grandchildren Sisters – Donna and husband Herb Haefeker of Hastings, NE, Shirlee and husband Virgil Counterman of Dodge City, Kansas
Loran is preceded in death parents, brothers – Matt, Bob, Dale, and Harlan.
Memorial Services will be Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at Fusselman Wymore Funeral Chapel, 413 Elm, Louisville, Nebraska
