Louis "Louie" J. Wallman, 71 of Syracuse, passed away on May 19, 2024, at his home. He was born on June 11, 1952, to George and Emma (Stevens) Wallman in Beatrice. Louie graduated from Syracuse High School in the class of 1970.

On September 10, 1976, he married Judy Rosenthal at Sheridan Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. For over 55 years, Louie worked in various John Deere stores in parts, sales, and service. He also served his community as a member of the Syracuse Fire Department for 25 years.

Louie was a caring husband, father, grandpa, and friend who shared his experience and passion for farm machinery, military history, country music, westerns, and vintage cars with anyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Judy; children Kathleen (Michael) Headley, Brian Wallman; grandchildren Caleb and Addison Headley; his brother Terry (Sherryl) Wallman; sister-in-law Carol Wallman, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rodney Wallman, sister Marilyn (William) Owl, and brothers Arlen (Rae) Wallman and Lawrence (Mary and Linda) Wallman, and dearly missed family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Luther Memorial Church in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
