IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Louisa M.
Eden
July 16, 1944 – October 20, 2024
Louisa M. Eden, 80 of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. She was born on July 16, 1944, to William & Roseland (Jaeger) Bruns in Unadilla. Louisa was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Otoe. On November 20, 1970, she married George Eden in Fairbury.
Louisa worked as a waitress for many years in Otoe before she started working at Maverick Media, from which she retired. She was a member of Luther Memorial in Syracuse. Louisa was a collector of many things and would always be looking for a deal. She particularly enjoyed collecting ballpoint pens, anything adorned with leopard print, and was proud of her classic cars, especially her beloved 1985 Buick Regal.
Traveling with Big Jim tours, playing Bingo, and listening to the music of George Jones, Elvis, and Johnny Cash brought Louisa immense joy. Known for her proud and stubborn German spirit, she was deeply loved by her family and friends.
The family wishes to share a verse that brought them comfort: "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and will carry you: I will sustain you and I will rescue you." (Isaiah 16:4)
She is survived by her daughters Sherry Bruns, Sheila (Chris) Campbell; grandchildren Logan Campbell, Jennifer Moser & fiancé Kenneth Coffin, John Moser, Ariana Moser,; great grandchildren Kassandra, Katelynn, Charles and Karissa Coffin; brother Richard Bruns; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Joe Bruns.
Memorial services are pending at this time.
The family suggests memorials to the family for later designation.
