Lucille L. Rosenow, 93 of Lincoln, formerly of Elmwood passed away on June 11 at Eastmont Towers in Lincoln, NE. She was born to George & Clara (Wichelt) Koehler on April 2, 1921.
Lucille married Lester Rosenow on June 2, 1946 in Harvard, NE. She worked as a teacher at Clay County from 1938-1946 and at Elmwood from 1966-1978. She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Women, Extension Club and Lioness Club at Elmwood. She loved her family and her church, as well as sewing, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her Daughter: Marie (Bob) Meyers, Son: John (Nancy) Rosenow, Daughter-in-law: Kris Rosenow, Grandchildren: Matt (Chris Durler) Hadley, Stacy Hadley, Ryan Rosenow, Elizabeth Meyers, Tyler Rosenow, Great-Grandchildren: Sylvie Hadley & Lyla Hadley, Sister: Ruth Nelson, Sister-in-law: Blanche Koehler
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Lester Rosenow, Son Robert, Sister Edna Mae Snodgrass, and Brother Lawrence Koehler.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 14, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Elmwood, NE.
Visitation will be Friday June 13 from 1 P.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Elmwood.
Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to St. Paul United Methodist Church-Elmwood, Eastmont Towers Foundation, or Dimensions Educational Research Foundation.
