Lucy L. Mendenhall, 97, Elmwood, died Friday (6/22/07) at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center. Born March 20, 1910, in Farragut, Iowa, to Eugene and Bernice (Higgins) Ripley. Married to Eldon Mendenhall on June 4, 1929, in Shenandoah, Iowa.

Funeral service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, St. Paul United Methodist Church, Elmwood. The Rev. Milan Coleman officiating. Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday, with family from 6-8 p.m., Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home, Elmwood; one hour prior to services, church. Memorials to family's choice.
