Marcene M. Burr, 74, Syracuse, Neb., formerly Dunbar, died Thursday (2/25/10) at Community Memorial Hospital, Syracuse, Neb. Born September 23, 1935 at Nebraska City, Neb., to Sterling and Caroline (Heng) Kreifels.

Married April 14, 1956 to Allan H. Burr at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paul, Neb. Homemaker.

Survived by husband, Allan Burr, Syracuse; children, Kent (Michelle) Burr, Round Rock, Texas, Andrew (Teresa) Burr, Dunbar, Neb., Charles (Kathy) Burr, Holdrege, Neb., Lynne (Thomas) Albin, Lincoln, Neb., Thomas (Pamela) Burr, Syracuse, Neb., Michael (Lisa) Burr, Marthasville, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; four sisters, Marilyn Neels and husband, Orlin, Dunbar, Neb., Jean Wurtele and husband, Don, Nebraska City, Neb., Joyce Kempkes, Lincoln, Neb., and Caroline Lechner, Nebraska City, Neb.; two brothers, Francis Kreifels and wife, Irma of Dunbar, John Kreifels and wife, Janet of Lincoln; many other relatives and numerous friends.

Preceded in death by parents and son, Phillip Burr.

Rosary Sunday (2/28/10) 7 p.m. at St. Paulinus Church.

Funeral Mass Monday (3/1/10) at 10:30 a.m., St. Paulinus Catholic Church, Syracuse, Neb. with Father Michael Stec officiating.

Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Syracuse.

Visitation Saturday (2/27/10) from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday (2/28/10) from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The family will greet and receive friends and family Sunday (2/28/10) from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel, with Rosary at 7 p.m., St. Paulinus Catholic CHurch Sunday. The casket will be open one hour before church services.
