Margaret was born October 1, 1924 in St. Charles, South Dakota, to Walter & Olive (McManigal) Garner. She passed away, Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 85 years, and 6 days.

Margaret married Richard Genthe in Omaha, on September 10, 1960. She worked as a Customer Service Agent and Ticket Agent for United Airlines, and retired after 50 years.

Margaret is survived by her brother Tim Garner wife Arleen of Hazen, ND, sisters-in-law Arva Stillahn, of Syracuse, NE, and Linda Genthe of Syracuse, NE, nieces Jolene Block and Steve Vogel, of Nebraska City, NE Lori Farrar and husband Warren, of Bloomington, IL, Kelly Heim and husband Corey of Normal, IL, Karrie Henderson and husband Nick, of Maryville, MO, and Susan Reich and husband Lowell, nephew Steve Garner and wife Barb, also survived by other relatives and friends.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Genthe, brother-in-law Kenneth Genthe.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Syracuse, NE, with burial at Park Hill Cemetery. Memorials are to the Syracuse Library Foundation or Donor's Choice.

Visitation will be Friday, October 9, 2009 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.m. at the Funeral Home. The Casket will be open one hour befor services at the Church.
